Nicholas Shrum received the Mormon History Association’s Best Unpublished Graduate Student Paper Award at the association’s annual conference in Kirtland, Ohio, for his paper, “'The Lord Had it Fixed Up for Me to Become a Mormon:' Carey C. Bowles’ Religious Citizenship within 1960s Mormonism."
The Best Unpublished Graduate Paper Award is funded to honor Juanita Brooks for her life of dedication, scholarship, and for the courage with which she led the way in an honest and professional approach to the study of the Mormon past.
