$250,000 Grant Funds Collaboration between Religion, Race & Democracy Lab and Memory Project

A newly awarded $250,000 Henry Luce Foundation grant will support a novel collaboration between the Democracy Initiative’s Religion, Race & Democracy Lab and Memory Project that will advance public knowledge on race, justice, and religion in America. Professors Martien Halvorson-Taylor, Jalane Schmidt, and Kurtis Schaeffer, all tenured faculty in UVA’s Department of Religious Studies will lead the effort.
